Turn It on Again - Best of '81-'83 : ウィキペディア英語版 | Turn It on Again - Best of '81-'83
''Turn It On Again - Best of '81 -'83'' is a compilation album of Genesis that focuses exclusively on four albums (two studies, one in live and EP) launched during the period 1981-1983. This compilation was released to the market before the publication of his next studio album We Can't Dance, also in 1991. The albums covers are Abacab, Three Sides Live, 3 X 3 and Genesis; thus leaving out the more successful and more recently when being released this compilation album Invisible Touch. During this time it is when Genesis is consolidated as a trio, having survived two major losses: guitarist Steve Hackett and mainly vocalist Peter Gabriel. After a couple of solid efforts in 1978 with the album ... And Then There Were Three ... and then in 1980 with Duke, the group was making the transition from a progressive rock band to a pop sound with themes and "Follow You, Follow Me," "Misundestanding" and "Turn It On Again" (all three are included in this album are the live versions that were published in the album Three Sides Live). The "new" Genesis first appears in all its dimensions with the 1981 album Abacab. Topics in this period are those that form this compilation, including hits like "No Reply at All," "Man on the Corner," "Mama" and "That's All", just to name a few. The album itself adds nothing new, but can be an extended version of the song "Turn It On Again" almost ten minutes. This release includes excerpts from songs by other groups, something that Genesis used to play live and that had not been previously released on any other album of the group. == Track Listing ==
